Uses
Stuff I actually use and love. If it's on here, I'd buy it again.
Running
- Garmin Forerunner 970
A workhorse. I wear it religiously, and the sleep tracking keeps getting better with updates.
- Whoop
The data is really good. Wearing it with a Garmin is overkill, and I'd tell most people to pick one. I still enjoy it.
- ASICS Novablast 6
One of my favorites right now. Just fun to run in.
- ASICS Superblast 3
The other one. Also a lot of fun.
- Powerbeats Pro 2
They take a lot of abuse and don't flinch.
Desk
- MacBook
I've used Macs my entire adult career. I've gotten so used to the workflow. Super efficient, super fast, works, just very expensive.
- Magic Trackpad
I use it at work and it's my favorite thing.
- BenQ ScreenBar Pro
I like working at night, in the dark, in weird lighting. This lights the desk beautifully and makes the room feel nice instead of pitch black. I'm using it right now, actually.
Building
- Vercel
Deploying, spending, domains, everything in one place. It's the easiest way to get a project off the ground.
- PlanetScale
There's a $5 tier for a single-node Postgres database, which is a really good way to get a database. And it's PlanetScale, so it'll scale with you to the size of a planet, if that ever matters.
- shadcn/ui
A solid UI library that you almost always reach for. That's what it is.
- pstack
Lauren Tan's agent workflow. The playbooks and principles are great, but my favorite part is the arena: it runs multiple models on the same problem and compares them. Interrogate, review, implement, validate. It's what I'd do anyway, so I spend way less time handholding.
- Grok Bot
My personal assistant. Calendar, email, random side tasks. I'm not running a company on it like people on X. Just the mundane stuff, and it's really good at it.
- latte
My caffeinate wrapper for macOS. I made this one.
